The Cruthú premises is situated in the courtyard adjacent to the public entrance to Russborough House. Cruthú Art Group is part of an artisan community who have set up studios at Russborough since 2009. Our neighbour artisans include: Blacksmiths, Wood Turner, Bog Oak Artist, Weaver & Candle-maker.
Funded and renovated by the efforts of Cruthú members, the premises was open to the public during 2010 at weekends from June to October. Reaction to the ongoing exhibition in 2010 was very positive. Members were very pleased to be able to exhibit and share their work and sales have been encouraging. Visitors are attracted by the simplicity and accessibility of the project. Cruthú artists have enjoyed meeting visitors and it would seem there are very many likeminded artistic souls out there who are attracted by the idea of membership of a group such as Cruthú. The gallery was formally opened to the public by Rebecca Storm on July 25th 2010.

Dear Members,
Congratulations to all who exhibited last year from our new home in Russborough. As you will know it was a very good year for sales.You may realise the year is almost up since we first signed the lease for our premises, and we have to continue to confirm our intention to make Russborough our home.
All who visited the premises over the year will have seen the great work done by members, to transform a ‘shed’ into our new premises. Going forward we have changed the interior, to make it more spacious, and more visually appealing to visitors & customers.
Instead of displaying all of an individual artists’ work in one space, we will mix all the art up and arrange everything a more appealing format.
All of this will be decided once we have the art work to hand.
We are asking you to confirm your participation for the coming year in Russborough. The amount for the year is €120.00. Please either text or e-mail your intention to either participate or not in the coming year. Please reply as soon as possible.
The amount will be payable at the next all members meeting towards the end of February
